That same weekend, I went clubbing with a bunch of Sweet Briar friends. We went to a slightly more up-scale club called Pyms, and got in for free! (I love being a girl!) The club was really pretty, though empty when we got there. A little later, the place got immensely packed with French people, and I had a great time dancing!
On Sunday, all of Tours had a sale. It only happens once a year and it was insane! Think Taste of Chicago-esque crowds! I didn’t bother looking to buy anything since the crowds were so overwhelming, but I had fun wandering around and experiencing a Tours tradition.
Wednesday I went to another Chateau called Villandry, which has absolutely gorgeous gardens! It was like being in the Garden of Eden!

Yesterday was my last night in Tours, so a bunch of us decided to go to the Loire at night and then go to a bar/dance club. I like the laid-back night scene in Tours.

Other entertaining things that happened in Tours: we drank champagne in my language class because a group did their project on Bastille Day (French national holiday), my host mom finally served Rachel and I wine before our last dinner with her (though said she didn’t want to give us a lot because she didn’t want to be irresponsible), my bus got pulled over by the gendarmerie on the way to Paris and my busdriver couldn’t find his paperwork for about 10 minutes.
Alright, I think that’s about it for Tours considering I’m currently in PARIS!
